Target Audience: School Staff, Teachers

This session runs from 10:00 a.m.  to 12:00 p.m. with an optional planning hour from 12:00 p.m to 1:00 p.m.

Learn how restorative practices can be used in the classroom! Participants will gain skills and tools to increase student engagement in academics and the school community, promote consistent student attendance, and develop proactive systems to respond to student behavior. Join us to practice energizers for classroom transition, Socratic seminars for civil discourse, and literacy circles for reading comprehension. Participants will learn successful practices for designing student recognition and celebration events, sustainable daily routines and procedures, and setting clear expectations for the classroom community.

*Part 2 will run during the Spring PD Series. We encourage you to join coaching sessions throughout the fall to continue your learning & get support implementing RJ in the classroom for Young Learners*

All professional development sessions use a trauma-informed approach and teach skills and practices that you can implement immediately. We highly encourage participants to join our weekly coaching sessions for a deeper dive into the challenges of implementation and practice. All Fall 2021 sessions will be held virtually on Zoom.
